2110-1100 — Switch Error 2110-1100: What It Means & How to Fix It

Your Switch can’t connect to the internet — usually it couldn’t find a network matching its saved settings.

Usually fixable at home Last reviewed June 13, 2026

What this error means

Error 2110-1100 appears with “Unable to connect to the Internet” while connecting to a network. Nintendo notes it usually means the console couldn’t detect a network matching any of its saved connections — the saved Wi-Fi isn’t in range, has changed, or isn’t broadcasting as expected.

Most likely causes

Cause How likely Fixable at home?
Saved network out of range or renamed Very likely Yes — reconnect / re-add
Router not broadcasting normally Likely Yes — restart router
Wi-Fi password changed Possible Yes — re-enter password
Interference or weak signal Possible Yes — move closer

How to fix it

Ordered easiest-first. Try the next step only if the error comes back.

  1. Restart console and router

Hold POWER for three seconds > Power Options > Restart. Unplug the router for a couple of minutes, then bring it back before reconnecting.

  2. Re-create the internet connection

System Settings > Internet > Internet Settings, select your network, and choose Connect. If it still fails, delete the saved network and set it up fresh.

  3. Confirm the network name and password

Make sure you’re joining the correct SSID and the Wi-Fi password hasn’t changed — a renamed or re-secured network won’t match the saved one.

  4. Move closer to the router

Undock the console and bring it near the router to rule out range and interference; thick walls and other 2.4 GHz devices weaken the signal.

  5. Try a different band or channel

If your router broadcasts 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under one name, splitting them or switching channel can help the Switch find a clean network.

When it's not your fault

Signs the problem is on Nintendo's side — or in the hardware — rather than anything you can change:

  • Other devices also dropped off the same network at the time.
  • Your ISP or router had an outage or reboot when it appeared.
  • It started right after the router’s name or password was changed by someone else.
When to contact Nintendo: If the Switch won’t connect to any known-good network after restarts and a fresh setup, check support.nintendo.com/networkstatus, then contact Nintendo Support. Check the official Switch server status page first, then reach Nintendo support if the error persists.

FAQ

Why can’t my Switch find my Wi-Fi?

Most often the saved network isn’t broadcasting as expected — out of range, renamed, or re-secured. Re-adding the network fresh in Internet Settings fixes the majority of cases.

Does 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz matter?

The Switch supports both. 5 GHz is faster up close; 2.4 GHz reaches further but is more crowded. If one band is flaky, try the other.

Is it my console or my router?

If other devices connect fine, focus on the Switch’s saved settings; if everything struggles, restart the router first.
